很多人問過如何把 多條 3D Line 連上，並轉為一個 Profile。
在 Civil 3D 中有兩個 Work around 的方法，早前已說過利用 Feature line elevation editor 的方法，今次則教大家另一個方法:-

1. 先把 3D Line 用 Select Similar 的方法全選
2. Grading –> Create Feature line from Object 把 3D Line 轉為 Feature Line
3. Grading –> Edit feature line Geometry –> Join 把所有 Feature line 連為一體
4. Expolse 把 Feature line 轉成 3D Polyline
5. Grading –> Edit feature line geometry –> Stepped offset 把 3D Polyline offset 0.5m 到兩邊
6. 建立一個臨時的 Surface
7. 把 左右兩邊的 3D PLINE 加到 Surface 中 (Add as Standard breakline)
8. Grading –> Polyline Utilities –> 3D to 2D 把中間的 3D PLINE 轉為 2D PLINE
9. Alignment –> Create Alignment from Polyline 把中間的 2D PLINE 轉為 Alignment (注意不要選上 Add curve between Straight Lines)
10. Profile –> Create Profile from Surface 建立 Profile view
11. 可以把 Profile 及 Alignment export 為 LandXML file, 永久保存

Data shortcut 是把 Civil 3D 由個人設計軟件轉為團隊設計軟件的必要途徑，由於包括一定的理論，在過去的 Lecture 一直較少說明，近日有不同的用戶都在找我問及 Data Sharing 及 Data management 的方法，我就先在這裡做個 Data shortcut 的 Lecture:-

分享資料
1. 打開 Source drawing A(如 Alignment，surface object 的圖)
2. General –> Data shortcut –> Set working folder (如已設定可以到 Step 6)
3. 打開 Toolspace 中的 Prospector
4. 轉到 Master View
5. 選 Data shortcut , Right Click, Set new data shortcut folder
6. General –> Data Shortcut –> Create Data shortcut
7. 選擇將分享給設計團隊或其他Drawing的 object data
8. Save

Xref Object
1. 打開新的 Drawing B
2. Save
3. General –> Data shortcut –> Set working folder (如已設定可以到 Step 7)
4. 打開 Toolspace 中的 Prospector
5. 轉到 Master View
6. 選 Data shortcut , Right Click, Set data shortcut folder
7. 在 Toolspace –> Prospector –> Data shortcut 中找需要的 Object data
8. Right Click, 選 “Create Reference”

在 Civil 3D 2009 中，用戶可以利用 Map3D 的 Function 去建立 Object data / Attribute，然後再和 Database 連結成完整的 Corporate GIS。

例如在水務工程中，用戶可以把己完成的 As-built record 用 Civil 3D 打開，再:-
1. Map 3D –> Create Object Data
2. Map 3D –> Attach Object Data
3. 利用 Properties 輸入有關的資料
4. Save.

Civil 3D 中有 Map 3D 的所有 Function 己不是什麼新聞，不過其中有一個 Rubbersheet 的 function 就唔係很多人知……

Rubbersheet 的 function 可以把 image 檔正確的 Georeference, overlaid 在 DWG 中，如加上 Civil 3D 的話，可以做 Drape image rendering。

1. 用 Image manager Insert Image
2. Map –> Tools –> Rubber Sheet
3. 在 image 選擇 Basepoints, 在 DWG 中選擇 Reference Point
4. 可以選擇多組 Matching, 完成後按 Enter
5. 按Enter 完成 Matching
6. 選 Select, 再選 Image
7. Press Enter to Complete…

過去兩個月太忙，未有時間更新這個 BLOG, 在 Quater end 的時終於有點時間，可以再寫多一點。

今次討論的如何利用 Mapwspace 這個 module 做 thematic map, 如把合乎某個 Criteria 的 geometry 轉色，label 等等:-

1. 打開 Mapwspace
2. 利用 FDO load up GIS 檔
3. 回到 Map Explorer
4, Highlight 有關的 Layer
5. Click “Style”
6. Click “Add a Rule”
7. 輸入有關的 Criteria
8. 選擇 color 及 設定 Label
9. 回到版面看更新的 Thematic Map

很多人說在 Civil 3D create alignment 需要花長時間，這不是太對，也不是太錯，只看看用戶對 Civil 3D alignment 的了解有多小了，在我來看，建立一條 Road Alignment, 可不需十五分鐘:-

1. 細看圖上的Setting out data, 利用Create point from file 把Geometry point 加入Civil 3D 中
2. 利用 Create Alignment by layout, 一步一步的畫
2.1. 第一個 entire 一定是 fix 的
2.2. 利用 From Curve through point 畫直線
2.3 利用 float Curve (form Entities, radius, through point)畫彎位
2.4 利用 Float Curve with Spiral (from entities, radius, through point) (snap to curve end) 畫Spiral-in
2.5 利用 float line with spiral (from entities, through point) (snap to linear end) 畫Spiral-out

明白方法的話，十五分鐘就可以了:-

差不多所有建築工程，都是需要計算Earthwork的。因此，基乎所有土木工程軟件都有 Earthwork Report，當然，Civil 3D 不會缺少這個 Function。

現時，大多工程還是利用 Section 以 End-Area method 計算 Earthwork，故在這個 Tutorial, 還是教大家基本的 Sectional Earthwork Report，如何大家對 Advance 的 Earthwork 計算(如同時比較三個 Surface) 有興趣的話，可參考我為 Civil 3D User Group 做的 ppt.

1. 先下載有關資料 的 working file
2. 打開 Drawing 後，由 Sections -> Create Sample lines 開始，並設定需要比較計算的 Surface。
3. 由於project 是利用道路模型(corridor model) 建立，故計算 Earthwork 的 Section 應該利用 “From Corridor section” 建立，結果會比相對合理。(有機會再詳細解析)
4. 設定所需要 Sample 的左右距離，有需要可以利用 “Edit swath width” 工更改
5. 按 完成 Create Sample lines, 會在 DWG 中看到新的Section Lines
6. Section –> Compute Materials 計算及設定 Criteria
7. Earthwork 的 Report 可以在 Sections –> Generate Earthwork report 建立，也可以利用 Section –> Add Earthwork table 建立，而 Earthwork Table 為 Civil 3D 的 object, 在 Expose 之前是和整個 Road model 有著Dynamic 的關係。
8. 最後建立 Multiple Section views, 注意 Earthwork Volume Table 的設定, 把每個 Section的 Earthwork 放到 Section 中。

未知大家是否己收到 Civil 3D 2009 的 installation Disk, Full install 的話需要5GB 左右的地方。

無論如何，我相信 Civil 3D 2009 可以直接 import/export DGNv7 及 v8 的新 function 一定是大家關心的地方，今日等我同大家做個 Demo:-

1. 如果大家係用英文 Windows 的話，請先在 Control panel 中安裝中文的 fonts (需要 XP 的 installation disk 及 Reboot)
2. 利用 File –> import other format, 選擇 DGN
3. 選擇 DGN v7 或 v8 的 file
4. 利用 Properties 找出 DGN 中，中文字的 Style
5. 利用 “Style” 指令，更改設定 (請留心先後次序)

我還在北京，但說過就是，今天再談 Section plans。

Sections 多年都是 Road Design 中檢視 Design 結果的主要方法，故無論 3D model 有多精細，工程師還是需要Section plan 的。Civil 3D 中有簡單的 Tools 去建立 Section plans:-

1. 先下載有關資料 的 working file
2. 打開 Drawing 後，由 Sections -> Create Sample lines 開始，並設定需要切開的Surface 及 Corridor
3. 設定所需要 Sample 的左右距離，有需要可以利用 “Edit swath width” 工更改
4. 按 完成 Create Sample lines, 會在 DWG 中看到新的Section Lines
5. 最後建立Section view, Civil 3D 中的 Section view 可以是單個或多個的。同時注意 Data band 及 Section view style 的設定。

對不起，我正在北京放假……

為了這個星期的假期，我過去兩個星期忙個滿天，BLOG 都忘了寫，upload Video 更沒有時間….無論如何，這幾天個連續上載幾個Video…

完成 Corridor 後，下一步則是建立Corridor surface，從而Cut Section，計算 Earthwork，Export Surface 作Machine Guidance 等工作。故把 Corridor 轉化為 Surface 可為必要的動作。

1. 先下載有關資料 的 working file
2. 打開 Drawing 後，打開Corridor properties，找 Surface 的一頁
3. 利用 Icon, 左致右建立 Surface, (有關 Link 及 Code 的資料，可以在各 Subassembly 的help 中找到。
4. Corridor surface 在建立後是和 Corridor Dynamic 連結起來的。為建立一個 instant 放便日後管理，用戶以可以在 Corridor 的 Pull Down menu 中找到 Create Detached Surface 這個指令。
